Video to CDN

Upload MP4, WebM, or MOV via dashboard or API. Get a public CDN URL on Cloudflare edge. REST API + free plan.

Upload a video file and get a direct CDN URL for a video tag, a landing page, an email, or a Slack message. Videos are stored and served exactly as uploaded from Cloudflare's global edge — there is no transcoding step.

How video upload works

From video file to shareable CDN link in seconds.

  • Drop or select a video — try it without signing up; guest uploads support MP4, WebM, and more up to 16 MB.
  • Get your CDN URL instantly — every upload returns a public URL served from Cloudflare's global edge.
  • Embed or share the link — use the URL in video tags, landing pages, emails, Slack, or anywhere a direct file link works.
  • Automate with the API — POST the same file from curl, n8n, Zapier, or your backend.

Supported video formats

Common video types — upload as-is, no transcoding.

  • MP4 (video/mp4)
  • WebM (video/webm)
  • MOV (video/quicktime)

Upload videos via API

One POST request — get a public video URL in the response.

  • POST multipart/form-data to https://api.droptocdn.com/v1/files with an Authorization: Bearer dtc_… header.
  • The response returns id, url, expires_at, size, mime_type, and original_name.
  • MP4 (H.264) has the widest browser support when embedding in a video element.

Video CDN use cases

Where teams use video-to-CDN workflows.

  • Product demos and promos: upload short MP4 clips and paste the CDN URL into your site, Notion doc, or campaign page.
  • App and support workflows: store screen recordings or bug-report videos and return a shareable link without running a media server.
  • Workflow automation: export a video from another tool in n8n, upload, and pass the public URL to the next step.
