n8n workflow examples
Common patterns in n8n workflows.
- Webhook → CDN URL: receive a file on a Webhook trigger, upload it with Drop to CDN, and return the public URL in the response.
- Metadata before sharing: use Get to fetch expiry, size, and mime type before sending a link to users or downstream systems.
- Pipeline cleanup: delete files by ID after delivery or when a workflow completes so storage stays within your plan.
- Publish Google Drive files: watch a Drive folder, download new files, upload to Drop to CDN, and output a direct CDN link.
n8n integration FAQ
Common questions about the n8n node.
How do I install the node?
In n8n: Settings → Community nodes → Install → n8n-nodes-droptocdn. On verified instances an owner may need to install it once; then all users can add the Drop to CDN node.
Where do I get an API key?
Sign up at Drop to CDN, open Dashboard → Settings → API keys, and create a key (starts with dtc_). Paste it into the Drop to CDN API credential in n8n.
Why does the credential test fail?
Check that the key is complete, starts with dtc_, and has not been revoked. The credential test calls GET /v1/profile.
Can I use plain HTTP Request nodes instead?
