Loom to CDN
Export your Loom MP4, upload to Drop to CDN, and get a public global CDN URL. For videos you own. API + n8n supported.
Keep recording in Loom and host the exported file yourself. Download the MP4 for a recording you own, upload it to Drop to CDN, and get a direct public URL you control. Drop to CDN does not download or re-host videos from Loom share links.
How to move Loom to CDN
Export from Loom, then upload — four steps.
- Export from Loom: open a recording you own, use the ⋯ menu → Download, and save the MP4.
- Upload the MP4: drop the exported file here — guest uploads accept video files up to 16 MB; sign in for higher limits.
- Copy your CDN URL: Drop to CDN returns a public link on Cloudflare's global edge.
- Automate next time: use the REST API or n8n node to upload exported files from scripts and workflows.
Why host Loom exports on CDN?
Keep recording in Loom — host the exported file yourself.
- Link outside Loom: share a direct MP4 URL in docs, CRMs, or support tickets without sending viewers to loom.com.
- Embed anywhere: use a plain video src tag on your site or app — no Loom embed iframe required.
- API and automation: store CDN URLs in your database, delete files by ID, and integrate with n8n or Zapier.
Upload Loom exports via API
Same flow after you export the MP4 from Loom.
- POST multipart/form-data to https://api.droptocdn.com/v1/files with an Authorization: Bearer dtc_… header.
- The response returns id, url, expires_at, size, mime_type, and original_name.
- Long recordings may exceed guest and Free limits — see pricing for per-plan file size.
Loom to CDN FAQ
Loom exports and CDN hosting.
Can I paste a Loom share URL to import the video?
No. Drop to CDN does not download or re-host videos from Loom share links. Export the MP4 from Loom for recordings you own, then upload that file here or via the API.
Is this a Loom video downloader?
No — this is a guide for hosting your own exported Loom files on CDN. We don't scrape share URLs or bypass Loom access controls.
How do I download a video from Loom?
Open the video in your Loom library (you must be the creator or have download access), click the ⋯ menu → Download → MP4, then upload the file.
Why put a Loom recording on my own CDN?
You get a direct file URL you control — useful for embedding, long-lived links on paid plans, and piping into your own tools.
