Image to CDN
Upload JPG, PNG, WebP, or GIF via dashboard or API. Get a public CDN URL on Cloudflare edge. Free plan available.
Upload an image and get a public CDN URL you can paste into an img tag, a CMS field, an email, or your app. Files are stored and served exactly as uploaded from Cloudflare's global edge — no conversion, resizing, or compression step.
How image upload works
From image file to shareable CDN link in seconds.
- Drop or select an image — try it without signing up; guest uploads support JPG, PNG, WebP, and more up to 16 MB.
- Get your CDN URL instantly — every upload returns a public URL served from Cloudflare's global edge.
- Embed or share anywhere — use the URL in img tags, CMS fields, emails, Slack, or your app's image picker.
- Automate with the API — POST the same file from curl, n8n, Zapier, or your backend.
Supported image formats
Common image types — upload as-is, no conversion.
- JPG / JPEG (image/jpeg)
- PNG (image/png)
- WebP (image/webp)
- GIF (image/gif)
- SVG (image/svg+xml)
- AVIF (image/avif)
Upload images via API
One POST request — get a public image URL in the response.
- POST multipart/form-data to https://api.droptocdn.com/v1/files with an Authorization: Bearer dtc_… header.
- The response returns id, url, expires_at, size, mime_type, and original_name.
- Use the same endpoint from curl, n8n, Zapier, Make, Activepieces, or your own backend.
Image CDN use cases
Where teams use image-to-CDN workflows.
- CMS and marketing assets: upload hero images, blog thumbnails, or product photos and paste the CDN URL into any content field.
- User-generated content: accept avatars or uploads in your app, store the returned URL, and serve globally.
- Workflow automation: generate images in n8n or another tool, upload, and pass the public link to the next step.
Image upload FAQ
Common questions about image uploads.
Which image formats are supported?
Any standard image type — JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, SVG, AVIF, and others. The API stores your file as-is with the correct Content-Type; there is no conversion step.
Can I use the URL in an img tag?
Yes. Paste the returned url directly into an img src, a React Image component, or any platform that accepts a public image URL.
Do you resize or optimize images?
No — files are served exactly as uploaded. Use your own pipeline for resizing or compression before upload if needed.
How long do image URLs stay valid?
Guest uploads expire after 1, 3, or 7 days (your choice). Free accounts default to 7 days; paid plans offer up to 365 days or never expire.
