# Drop to CDN for Zapier

> Upload files from Zaps and get instant CDN URLs. Connect Drop to CDN on Zapier with your API key — upload, get, or delete.

The Drop to CDN app on Zapier uploads a file from any Zap step and returns a public CDN URL you can map into the next action. Connect it once with an API key — Zapier tests the connection against GET /v1/profile.

## Connect Drop to CDN in Zapier

Three steps to use Drop to CDN in Zapier.

- Get your API key: sign up at Drop to CDN and create a key in Dashboard → Settings (starts with dtc_).
- Connect Drop to CDN in Zapier: search for Drop to CDN, open the app, and connect your account with your API key.
- Add an action to a Zap: choose Upload File, Get File Information, or Delete File — map fields from previous steps and turn the Zap on.

## Zapier actions

Upload, get metadata, or delete files by ID.

- Upload File — inputs: file (required), optional retention days, never expire, original filename. Outputs: id, url, expires_at, size, mime_type, original_name.
- Get File Information — inputs: file ID. Outputs: id, url, expires_at, size, mime_type, original_name.
- Delete File — inputs: file ID. Outputs: id, deleted: true.

## Zap templates

Start from a ready-made Zap.

- Google Drive → CDN URL: when a new file lands in Drive, upload it to Drop to CDN and pass the public url to the next step.
- Metadata before sharing: after upload, use Get File Information to check expiry, size, and mime type before sending a link.
- Pipeline cleanup: delete files by ID after delivery or when a Zap completes so storage stays within your plan.
