### Do I need an API key to use the website?

No. Uploads from the dashboard use your login session. API keys are for curl, scripts, and third-party tools.

### What happens when a file expires?

Expired files are removed from storage automatically. Paid plans can set never expire or custom retention via the API.

### What are the default retention periods?

Free: 7 days (fixed). Starter: 90 days. Growth and Elite: 365 days. Omit retention_days in the API to use your plan default.

### Can I try without signing up?

Yes. Use the upload box at the top as a guest — choose 1, 3, or 7 day retention, no account needed.
